My work for the linear project is a pair of petal earrings. Consists of mainly twisted and hammered wires, the piece referenced flower petals and is made in an abstract form. Inspired by artists Alexander Calder and Art Smith, the piece also reconstructs space in a curvilinear form and is designed specifically to be worn with the ears as the ears are a design component. Hook, post and cuffs were added to stabilize the earrings when being worn.
