"Peng Cheng"
This is a ring that showcases the architecture of Shenzhen Civic Centre. Made out of sterling silver and clear acrylic, this Civic Centre ring represents Shenzhen. The structure “spreads its wings, ” just like Shenzhen “spreads its wings” for decades in city development to become the modern city today. To remember the great Deng Xiaoping and his contribution to the new China, “1979” and “SPRING” are stamped on the ring base. These epitaphs, along with the center line, are left without sandblasting. This represents the glorious years that Shenzhen has been through and the roads that Shenzhen has walked on. The ring gallery is designed in the shape of a cosine curve to reflect the overall wing form as the curve is like a second pair of wings or hands that hold up the structure. When wearing this ring, the wearer is “holding up” the Civic Centre, reflecting the same meaning from the Civic Centre design: people’s power supports the blue sky.
